Job summary

Vestas is seeking a proactive Procurement Logistics professional to join the Construction Procurement team within the EMEA organization. You will build and manage vendor relationships, develop procurement strategies, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery for renewable energy construction projects.

You will collaborate with an international team across Europe, drive compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and continually optimize procurement workflows.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement across renewable energy, construction, or technical sectors.
  • Familiarity with wind energy supply chains, sourcing strategies, and contract execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with service and operational objectives.

Vestas Technology & Operations > Procurement > Procurement Logistics

The Construction Procurement department is embedded within the overall EMEA Procurement organization, which is responsible for Direct, Indirect, Construction, and Service procurement across the region. You will join an international team distributed across Spain, Poland, Greece, and Germany, playing a key role in supporting procurement operations for our renewable energy construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain good working relationships with construction vendors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality service delivery
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's service and operational objectives, ensuring the timely availability of necessary services while minimizing costs and risks
  • Contract Negotiation: Conduct contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and Master Agreements, while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Keep current on regulatory requirements, maintain compliance, and address risks tied to vendor relationships and contractual obligations
  • Process Optimization: Continuously review and refine procurement workflows to enhance operational efficiency, reduce lead times, and uphold best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: Demonstrated procurement experience in the renewable energy, construction, or technical sectors
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with wind energy supply chains, sourcing strategies, and contract execution.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Well-developed communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams, negotiate with external suppliers, and resolve operational issues
  • Problem-Solving: Solid analytical capability to address complex challenges, such as supply chain disruptions or cost overruns, ensuring operational continuity
  • Regulatory Awareness: Solid understanding of relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and health & safety compliance
