Zusammenfassung

Scrambly is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own the product design function end-to-end across mobile and web experiences used by millions. In the startup's early stage you will personally design core experiences while shaping design vision, strategy, standards, and culture.

Over time you will build and lead an internal product design team as the product portfolio scales. You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership, translating business goals and user needs into user-centered

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years in product design, with mobile-first consumer products.
• World-class portfolio showing exceptional UX/UI craft and end-to-end work shipped at scale.
• Experience as the sole or lead designer with full ownership of design decisions.
• Hands-on experience with user research, usability testing, hypothesis-driven design, rapid prototyping and A/B testing.
• Experience leading or mentoring designers, or managing agencies and external partners.
• Ability to move fast without losing quality, turning ambiguous problems into simple, elegant solutions.
• Confident presenting and defending your work with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Skill with animation, transitions and microinteractions, and practical use of AI tools in your design workflow.
• A strong ownership mindset and comfort in a fast-paced, metrics-driven startup.
• English at B2 or above.

Aufgaben

• Own the UX and UI across all mobile and web products; final design decisions.

• Design fast experiments and AB tests with Product and Engineering; iterate quickly.
• Deliver flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs and interaction specs with pixel-perfect execution.
• Build and own Scrambly’s design language, components and patterns for consistency across platforms.
• Be the voice of the user; represent design in leadership discussions and challenge product or technical decisions that affect UX.

About The Role

As a Lead Product Designer at Scrambly, you will fully own the product design function end-to-end and be responsible for the quality, consistency, and impact of the user experience across all mobile and web products used by millions of users worldwide.

This is a hands‑on leadership role. In the initial phase, you will personally design core product experiences while defining Scrambly’s design vision, strategy, standards, and culture. Over time, you will build and lead an internal product design team and scale the design function as the company and product portfolio grow.

You will act as a strategic partner to Product and Engineering leadership, translating business goals, product metrics, and user needs into clear, user‑centered design solutions. You will have full ownership over design decisions and will be expected to proactively identify problems, propose solutions, and continuously raise the quality bar across the organization.

Your goal is to establish a world‑class product experience and turn Scrambly into a product people genuinely love to use every day.

What You’ll Do

• Own the experience. Take full responsibility for UX and UI across all mobile and web products, and make the final call on design decisions.
• Drive discovery. Work with Product to understand users through research, data, funnels and session replays, then turn insights into prioritized hypotheses.
• Experiment fast. Design low‑effort experiments and A/B tests with Product and Engineering, learn quickly and iterate without dropping quality.
• Set the craft bar. Deliver flows, prototypes, high‑fidelity designs and interaction specs, with pixel‑perfect execution on everything we ship.
• Build the system. Create and own Scrambly’s design language, components and patterns so design stays fast and consistent across platforms.
• Be the voice of the user. Represent design in leadership discussions and challenge product or technical decisions that hurt the experience.
• Lead the function. Manage external partners (agencies, UX writers, researchers), and hire, mentor and grow the internal team as we scale.

What You Bring

• 7+ years in product design, with extensive experience on mobile‑first consumer products.
• A world‑class portfolio showing exceptional UX/UI craft, strong product thinking and end‑to‑end work shipped at scale.
• Experience as the sole or lead designer with full ownership of design decisions.
• Hands‑on experience with user research, usability testing, hypothesis‑driven design, rapid prototyping and A/B testing.
• Experience leading or mentoring designers, or managing agencies and external partners.
• The ability to move fast without losing quality, turning ambiguous problems into simple, elegant solutions.
