Körber Supply Chain DK in Arden is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities across our project portfolio, from concept through commissioning.
You will guide design reviews, manage resources, ensure compliance with machinery directives and safety standards, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
At Körber Supply Chain DK, we design and deliver advanced automated material handling solutions to customers worldwide. As demand continues to grow and our project portfolio expands, we are looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our Mechanical Engineering team in Arden.
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development and design through manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
You will act as the technical lead within the mechanical discipline, ensuring that solutions meet customer requirements, comply with relevant standards, and are delivered on time and with the expected level of quality.
Working closely with Project Managers, Electrical and Software Engineers, customers, suppliers, and external partners, you will help turn complex requirements into practical and reliable automation solutions.
You are an experienced mechanical engineer who combines strong technical expertise with natural leadership skills. You enjoy taking ownership, setting direction, and supporting colleagues while remaining hands‑on when needed. Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously across different stages, from design and procurement through manufacturing and installation. You maintain a forward‑looking overview of priorities, dependencies and resource requirements, ensuring a balanced workload and early communication of potential capacity constraints or deadline impacts.
You are comfortable working in a project‑driven environment where priorities may change and where collaboration across disciplines and cultures is key to success.
You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline and bring 7-10 years of experience within mechanical design and development of customer‑specific machinery or automation solutions. You have a proven track record as a Lead Engineer or technical lead on complex engineering projects and possess strong experience with 3D CAD systems such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
In addition, you have a solid understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, material selection, and tolerancing, combined with experience in stakeholder management and cross‑functional project collaboration. Knowledge of machine safety, CE marking, risk assessments, and relevant industry standards is expected. Finally, you are a strong communicator with excellent written and spoken English skills. Experience within material handling, intralogistics, automation systems, ERP/PLM systems, or delivery of machinery to the North American market will be considered an advantage.
We offer an exciting role in an international company in growth, where you will work with advanced technical solutions and be part of a strong professional environment characterized by collaboration and dedication.
We value diversity and welcome all applicants, regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic or social background, religion/belief, disability, age, sexual orientation, identity, or any other protected status.
