Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering seeks an Electrical Commissioning Engineer for Denmark. You will coordinate testing and commissioning of critical electrical systems in data centres, develop plans, and lead projects ensuring high reliability, safety and quality.

Strong communication and leadership are essential, with experience in UPS, gensets and power distribution. The role requires 3rd level Electrical Engineering qualification and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on data centre

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering.
• 5+ years relevant experience in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, low voltage and emergency power systems.
• Familiarity with Data Centre infrastructure (UPS, generators, switchgear).
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
• Leads and mentors junior engineers and graduates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and commissioning of all electrical systems in the data centre (PDUs, UPS, switchgear, transformers, generators).
• Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and scripts for critical power systems.
• Perform functional tests, load bank testing, and simulate failure scenarios to validate power system reliability.
• Coordinate with other building systems (cooling, fire protection) for integration.
• Lead commissioning on designated projects and prepare documentation for final folders.
• Provide technical support and direction to Kirby project teams; report progress to Site/Project Manager.
