Qualifications

Experience with laser-based research and development of optoelectronic components for experiments.
Solid background operating CW laser systems including control of output powers, polarization, linewidths and frequencies.
Understanding of analogue and digital electronics for experimental control.
Knowledge of laser frequency stabilization using optical frequency combs, rubidium clocks, and GPS synchronization.

Responsibilities

Run and maintain optical frequency combs.
Service existing CW laser systems including external cavity diode lasers, TiSa-lasers, fiber-lasers and quantum cascade lasers.
Develop electro-optical setups to control frequency and power of CW lasers.
Assist in setting up experimental control systems on ARTIQ platform.
Develop electronics in collaboration with the department's electronics workshop.
Support proposal writing with technical input.
