Aarhus University invites applications for an Academic Employee position in laser technology and optoelectronics. The successful candidate will join the Department of Physics and Astronomy in Aarhus, contributing to laser-based experiments and the development of optoelectronic systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience in laser-based research and development.
  • Experience documenting and performing laser frequency stabilization and control of output powers.

Responsibilities

  • Run and maintain optical frequency combs.
  • Service CW laser systems including external cavity diode laser systems, TiSa-lasers, fiber-lasers and quantum cascade lasers.
  • Develop electro-optical setups for controlling frequency and shaping CW laser power.
  • Help setting up experimental control systems based on the ARTIQ platform.
  • Develop electronics in collaboration with the department’s electronic workshop.
  • Support with technical aspects in proposal writing.
