Job summary

Gubra, based in Hørsholm, Denmark, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support peptide synthesis, purification, and high-throughput workflows in the Chemistry department. You will work closely with Scientists and fellow Technicians to ensure timely delivery of high-quality peptide products for drug discovery projects.

The role involves operating automated SPPS, RP-HPLC, and peptide analysis tech such as UPLC-MS/UPLC-CAD, data handling, and instrument maintenance in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Certified laboratory technician diploma or similar.
• Hands-on peptide synthesis experience.
• Knowledge of automated synthesis and solid-phase synthesis.
• Familiar with HPLC systems and peptide purification.
• Data handling, documentation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support automated SPPS operations and peptide purification.
• Operate RP-HPLC and perform peptide analysis by UPLC-MS/UPLC-CAD.
• Handle liquids using automated systems and document processes.
• Assist with digitalization of workflows and data logging.
• Maintain instruments and contribute to high-throughput workflows.
• Collaborate with Scientists and Lab Technicians to ensure project progress.

Help deliver high-quality peptides to drive our drug discovery projects forward

As Laboratory Technician in our Chemistry department, your role will focus on supporting peptide synthesis and purification, operating automated workflows, and contributing to a well-run high-throughput laboratory. You will work closely with both Scientists and fellow Laboratory Technicians to ensure high-quality peptide production that enables rapid project progression.

You will be part of a strong and ever evolving team, working with peptide chemistry and supporting our peptide drug discovery pipeline. If you are motivated by working in a multi-disciplinary environment, you should come and join us at Gubra.

Your tasks as Laboratory Technician are diverse and include:

• Automated solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS).
• Peptide purification by RP-HPLC.
• Characterization and analysis of peptides by UPLC-MS and UPLC-CAD.
• Liquid handling using automated liquid handlers (supporting task).
• Data processing and documentation.
• Digitalization and usage of both Gubra created- and vendor systems.
• Instrument maintenance.
• Contributing to the implementation of high-throughput laboratory processes to optimize workflows.
• Supporting a wide range of parallel tasks in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Certified Laboratory Technician with hands-on peptide synthesis experience

Your resume ideally includes:

• A certified laboratory technician diploma or similar
• Hands-on experience with peptide synthesis
• Knowledge of automated synthesis and solid-phase synthesis
• Technical understanding of HPLC systems and peptide purification
• Experience with data handling, documentation, and reporting
• Good communication skills in both Danish and English
• A collaborative mindset and motivation to contribute across shared workflows
