Job summary

Gubra is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Hørsholm. You will work across the stack (Python/FastAPI backend, React frontend), and help migrate legacy apps to our modern platform.

This hands-on role includes mentoring junior engineers, defining engineering practices, and driving reliable delivery. You will collaborate with ML and product teams to shape architecture and tooling in a fast-paced biotech tech environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency with Python, and experience building APIs with FastAPI.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Experience with AWS services.
• DevOps experience, e.g. CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or guiding other engineers, whether through formal reports, code review, or informal technical leadership.
• Strong communication skills. Specifically, an ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our engineering team as we modernize our platform. You'll work across our stack, help lead an active migration away from legacy applications, and play a key role in leveling up our engineering practices as we grow.

This is a hands-on technical role with a strong mentorship component. You'll be writing code daily, but you'll also be a go-to resource for junior engineers. You'll help unblock them and grow them into stronger developers.

What You'll Do

Our team focuses on automating and scaling scientific processes and research studies at Gubra. You will join a team of skilled software and ML engineers at Gubra HQ in Hørsholm, on the edge of Greater Copenhagen.
