Job summary

DTU BRIGHT is seeking a Lab Manager to support three research groups in a dynamic, safety‑focused shared laboratory. You will ensure high standards of organization, compliance, and efficiency, enabling researchers to deliver high‑quality scientific output.

The role requires a formal laboratory education, and you will coordinate lab workflows, manage consumables, and maintain documentation while collaborating with diverse researchers across groups.

Qualifications

• Must hold a laboratory education.
• Structured, reliable and proactive approach to lab operations.
• Ability to coordinate across laboratory floors and groups.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inductions and lab tours for students and visiting researchers.
• Lead onboarding activities including Benchling and internal procedures.
• Act as central contact point for coordination across labs and groups.
• Manage reordering of shared consumables and organize lab duties and schedules.
• Oversee maintenance and calibration services for equipment.
• Maintain compliance and implement LEAF activities across spaces.
• Maintain and improve fungal and bacterial strain collections and resources.
• Organize freezer space and storage systems for traceability.
• Coordinate lab space allocation with group leaders.
• Ensure documentation in Benchling and data management plans is up to date.
