Job summary

Eurowind Energy A/S is seeking a Junior Solar Power Plant Maintenance Technician for the Danish market. You will support preventive and corrective maintenance activities on solar power plant equipment, assist in diagnosing faults, and contribute to minimizing downtime.

Overview

Due to our recent growth in development, construction and operation of renewable power plants, we are currently looking for a Junior Solar Power Plant Maintenance technician for the Portuguese market. This job offers you the possibility of being part of a growing assets operation management team, while working in a fast‑growth environment backed by a large international group.

Main responsibilities

• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities on solar plant equipment
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
• Contribute to minimizing downtime through root‑cause analysis
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
• Support monitoring of plant performance through SCADA systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation of PV plant
• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards, including LOTO procedures
• Manage and execute work orders (WO) through our maintenance management software effectively
• Maintain control of mobile stock, tools and spare parts

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate who has a relevant technical background and a solid foundation within solar power plant operations and maintenance, combined with a structured and safety‑oriented approach to field work. More specifically, you bring:

• A technical qualification (Level III or IV) in automation, mechatronics, robotics, industrial maintenance, electrical studies, or a degree in Engineering (bachelor’s or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or similar
• A basic understanding of the working principles of solar PV plant components (inverters, trackers, PV stations), as well as IT architecture and SCADA systems
• Knowledge of MV electrical equipment operation principles, such as switchgear, inverters, and transformers
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, and plant control logic
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• The ability to work in field environments while consistently following strict safety protocols
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data analysis tools
• Fluency in English (knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus)
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites, both nationally and internationally
• Previous experience in commissioning or O&M of utility‑scale solar PV plants (considered a plus)
• Basic knowledge of grid codes and interconnection requirements
• At least two years of experience within maintenance departments or organizations
