Job summary

Capgemini Denmark is seeking a Java Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable backend systems using Java and JVM-based technologies. You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, production-ready solutions.

You’ll leverage Spring Boot and Spring Data, work with Kafka and Elasticsearch, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong Java expert with deep JVM knowledge and concurrency management.
• Hands-on Spring Boot / Spring Data experience; Kafka and Elasticsearch.
• Automated testing and DevOps familiarity (Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend systems using Java and JVM-based technologies.
• Develop reliable, scalable backend solutions including RESTful and event-driven services.
• Ensure production-readiness with automated testing, logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and container deployments.
