Job summary

BEUMER Group is seeking an IT Specialist to strengthen cyber security competences while supporting and improving remote IT services for global customers. The role emphasizes infrastructure, networks, and secure remote access within a multinational setting.

You will join the Global Configuration Team, primarily based in Denmark, with colleagues in Canada, France and Australia, and travel up to 20 days annually to client sites worldwide.

Qualifications

Practical IT infrastructure experience including servers, networks, and remote access.
Experience with firewalls, authentication, encryption, and device hardening.
Familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Hyper-V, backup and storage technologies.
Experience or interest in monitoring and logging tools and security operations.
Understanding of cyber security principles and standards with willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Deliver IT services to customers including patching, updates, and configuration changes.
Set up and maintain remote access platforms and customer connections.
Improve remote support infrastructure focusing on availability, usability, reliability, and security.
Support monitoring and logging capabilities and related troubleshooting.
Assist with secure configuration, access control, and infrastructure improvements.
Support cyber security-related questions with experienced colleagues.
Assist Hotline and Monitoring Center teams with remote support questions.
Work with servers, virtualization, networks, firewalls, switches, routers, storage, and Windows servers.
Travel up to 20 days per year to visit customers and BEUMER Group offices.

We are looking for an IT Specialist with a strong general IT foundation and a clear interest in developing further within cyber security. You will support and improve our remote support infrastructure, customer connections, monitoring capabilities,andIT services for customers operating critical infrastructure globally.Support internal teams and customers on cyber security-related topics, including risk assessments, compliance activities, customer questionnaires, and security-focused customer engagements, while developing your expertise within the cybersecurity domain.

The role is suited for someone who already understands IT infrastructure in practice and wants to grow into security-related responsibilities such as secure remote access, monitoring and logging, hardening, patching, and supporting cyber security improvements. About the Role
You will join our Global Configuration Team, a collaborative group of IT specialists, architects, and back-office professionals. The team is primarily based in Denmark, with colleagues in Canada, France, and Australia.

We are looking for a conceptual thinker who is practical, curious, service-minded, and comfortable working across several areas of IT. You do not need to be a cyber security expert from day one, but you should have the appetite and motivation to develop in that direction while contributing with solid infrastructure and operational IT skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver IT services to customers, including patching, updates, configuration changes, and operational support.
Set up, maintain, and improve remote access platforms and customer connections.
Improve our remote support infrastructure with focus on availability, usability, reliability, and security.
Support monitoring and logging capabilities, including event logs, syslog, and related troubleshooting activities.
Assist with secure configuration, device hardening, access control, and infrastructure improvements.
Support cyber security-related questions and initiatives together with experienced colleagues.
Assist our Hotline and Monitoring Center teams with questions related to remote support infrastructure.
Work with infrastructure technologies such as servers, virtualization, networks, firewalls, switches, routers, storage, backup, and Windows servers.
Travel up to 20 days per year to visit customers and BEUMER Group offices worldwide.

Your Profile
You are an experienced and curious IT professional with solid hands‑on IT skills. You may come from a background in infrastructure, network operations, server management, system administration, or a similar technical role. Most importantly, you enjoy learning and want to develop further within cyber security as part of your professional journey.

We imagine that you bring a combination of several of the following:

Practical experience with IT infrastructure, including servers, Windows servers, networks, and remote access solutions.
Experience with firewalls, switches, routers, authentication mechanisms, encryption, or device hardening.
Familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Hyper-V, backup, storage, or similar infrastructure technologies.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools, or an interest in building stronger skills in this area.
Basic understanding of cyber security principles, with motivation to learn more about security standards, frameworks, and secure operations.
A structured approach to troubleshooting, documentation, and long‑term maintainability.
Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.

Personal Attributes
You have strong communication skills and can explain technical topics in a clear and practical way. You are fluent in English. Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
You enjoy working with cross‑functional teams,takeownership, and thrive in an environment where long‑term solutions go hand in hand with supporting execution teams and customer‑facing colleagues.
