Job summary

JYSK is seeking a Student Assistant for IT Operational Excellence in Aarhus. The role is 15 hours per week, with a mix of office presence and flexible scheduling.

You will work with data, dashboards, and stakeholder coordination, starting with a three‑month contract and potential extension for 12+ months. You will be mentored by the Manager of IT Operational Excellence, gain practical ITIL/Lean/SAFe exposure, and help deliver early reporting used by IT leadership.

Qualifications

• Curious about data and what it tells you, with Excel as a good starting point.
• Enjoys bringing structure to messy tasks.
• Likes talking to people and following up until things get done.
• Motivated to learn how IT runs a large retail business.
• Enrolled in a relevant higher education programme with at least 12 months of studies left.
• Communicates fluently in English; Danish is a plus.
• Can be at the office in Aarhus at least one day a week.

Responsibilities

• Data and insight: Collect and analyse data, build dashboards, and explain what the numbers show and how our initiatives are working.
• Following up on improvement actions: Keep track of our actions, check with the owners that they are delivered, and find out why when something stalls.
• Making larger initiatives easy to join: CMDB mapping, template creation, plan steps with teams and remove blockers.
• Working with people: Talk to colleagues, join stand‑ups, send a Slack message, or walk over to help.
