Job summary

X Commodities, an independent power trading company based in Aarhus C, Denmark, seeks an experienced Intraday Power Trader to own intraday positions from day one and optimise trading across European markets.

You will work in a fast-moving environment, monitoring signals and data, collaborating with the trading desk, and contributing to strategy development. The role requires a quantitative background and fluency in Danish and English.

Qualifications

• Background in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar quantitative field.
• 2–3 years of intraday power trading experience in Europe.
• Proven track record of P&L ownership.
• Part of a 24/7/365 shift setup.
• Fluency in Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Trade and optimise intraday power positions across European markets.
• Monitor market fundamentals, weather data, and trading signals to support decision-making.
• Identify and act on short-term trading opportunities in auction and continuous markets.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of trading strategies and tools.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across the team.
