Job summary

IMC Trading in Aarhus, Denmark is expanding its European Power and Gas trading desk. The role offers a hands-on opportunity to shape and scale this growing business with a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

You will monitor European power markets, participate in shifts, execute trades, contribute to a proprietary trading book, and develop as a market expert while driving innovations and training new joiners on the desk.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in trading intraday power in Europe.
• Proven track record of P&L ownership.
• Strong analytical and modelling skills, preferably in Python.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with fast decision-making and risk appetite.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor multiple European power markets (CWE, Eastern Europe, UK & Nordics).
• Be an active part of the trading team and participate in shift rotation (evenings and weekends) to catch market opportunities.
• Execute trades based on quantitative signals and/or discretionary insights.
• Contribute to a shared proprietary trading book.
• Ensure nominations and scheduling are carried out correctly.
• Develop into a domain expert within the relevant markets and products.
• Drive innovation in trading strategies.
• Support training of new joiners on the desk.

Core Responsibilities

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, competitive nature, and fast decision-making capabilities
• Strong analytical and modelling skills, preferably in Python
• Fluency in English
