Job summary

X Commodities, an independent power trading company based in Aarhus, seeks an experienced Intraday Power Trader to own and optimise intraday positions from day one. You will react to real-time signals, weather shifts and market data, trading across European markets with a focus on efficiency and fast decision-making.

You will be part of a 24/7/365 shift setup, collaborating across the trading desk while developing and refining strategies and tools.

Qualifications

Background in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar quantitative field.
Experience trading intraday power in Europe, ideally 2–3 years.
Proven track record of P&L ownership.
Fluency in Danish and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Trade and optimise intraday power positions across our European markets
Monitor market fundamentals, weather data, and trading signals to support decision-making
Identify and act on short-term trading opportunities in auction and continuous markets
Contribute to the ongoing development of our trading strategies and tools
Collaborate closely with colleagues across the team
