Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions is working with a Nordic banking solutions leader to hire an Identity and Access Strategic Lead. The role defines the enterprise IAM strategy, target operating model and multi-year transformation roadmap for secure access across employees, customers, and machines.

You will partner with Cyber Security, Technology and Risk teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical controls, and present investment proposals to senior stakeholders in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior IAM strategy, architecture or transformation roles.
• Background in global banking, financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• Proven experience developing enterprise IAM strategies, target operating models and multi-year roadmaps.
• Strong knowledge of IAM domains including IGA, PAM, CIAM, SSO, MFA, federation, RBAC/ABAC and access governance.
• Experience with IAM governance, policies, security controls and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of cloud identity, privileged access, machine identities, API security and secrets management.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across Cyber Security, Technology, Risk and Compliance.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and strategic planning skills.
• Experience with platforms such as SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk or HashiCorp Vault is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, passwordless authentication and AI identity governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise IAM strategy and long-term transformation roadmap.
• Develop the target IAM operating model, governance framework, policies and standards.
• Lead strategic initiatives covering identity governance, access management, privileged access, authentication and cloud identity.
• Shape IAM solutions for employees, customers, third parties, service accounts and machine identities.
• Work closely with Cyber Security, Technology, Architecture, Risk, Compliance and business teams.
• Translate regulatory and audit requirements into practical security controls and improvement plans.
• Advise senior stakeholders and present strategic recommendations, progress updates and investment proposals.
• Assess IAM technologies and vendors, identify improvement areas and define future priorities.

The role will ensure identity is treated as a foundational security, risk, and customer-experience capability, enabling secure access for employees, contractors, customers, machines, services, and AI-driven systems.
