Job summary

The LEGO Group is seeking an experienced Discrete Event Simulation engineer within Virtual Manufacturing Engineering (VME) to design and deliver simulation models for production and logistics facilities worldwide.

You will join a fast-paced global team, translate complex simulations into actionable recommendations for project stakeholders, and help advance LEGO's digital manufacturing roadmap using Plant Simulation, Python and SQL.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects using Discrete Event Simulation tools (Technomatix Plant Simulation preferred).
• Experience in Manufacturing Systems Modelling (Manufacturing & Logistics experience preferred).
• Programming capability (Python, SQL).
• Statistical analysis.
• Experience of working in DES within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to translate complex simulations into real-world strategic recommendations.
• Stakeholder communication & presentation skills.
• Manufacturing process experience.
• Collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Discrete Event Simulation models of our production and logistics facilities to support new and ongoing projects, including some supplier management.
• Integrate within project teams and deliver insights and conclusions to stakeholders.
• Work with the wider team and partners to help support development of simulation within the LEGO group, and drive forward our technology roadmap.
