Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking an experienced Discrete Event Simulation engineer to join Virtual Manufacturing Engineering. You will design and manage DES models of production and logistics facilities to support global projects and drive insights for investment and capacity decisions.

You'll collaborate with project teams, translate complex simulations into actionable recommendations, and help develop LEGO's simulation technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects using Discrete Event Simulation tools (Plant Simulation preferred).
• Experience in Manufacturing Systems Modelling (Manufacturing & Logistics experience preferred).
• Programming capability (Python, SQL).
• Statistical Analysis experience.
• Experience of working in DES within a manufacturing environment.
• Evidence of using DES to support decisions on investment and capacity planning.
• Ability to translate complex simulations & results into real-world strategic recommendations.
• Stakeholder Communication & Presentation Skills
• Manufacturing Process Experience
• Collaboration Skills

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Discrete Event Simulation models of our production and logistics facilities to support new and ongoing projects, including some supplier management
• Integrate within project teams and deliver insights and conclusions to stakeholders
• Work with the wider team and partners to help support development of simulation within the LEGO group, and drive forward our technology roadmap
