Job summary

UNDP seeks a Procurement Associate to support efficient, compliant procurement within the Health Procurement Team of the GHSC. You will work with Country Offices, HQ units, and vendors to plan, execute, and monitor procurement activities, including orders, contracts, and logistics documentation.

The role emphasizes adherence to UNDP rules, client-centered service, and collaboration across teams to resolve complex procurement issues and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Secondary education is required; a university degree is desirable.
• CIPS Level 2 certification is highly desirable and must be obtained within one year of recruitment if not already held.
• Minimum six years of progressive experience in procurement, contracting, supply chain, or logistics is required with secondary education. This is reduced to three years with a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist procurement processes (RFQs, ITBs, RFPs) and support evaluation procedures.
• Prepare purchase orders and contracts; manage vendor information and transactional issues.
• Coordinate logistics services including freight forwarding, shipments, documentation, and customs clearance.
• Share knowledge on health commodity procurement and maintain procurement tools and resources.
