Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Head of Technical in Horning, Denmark to lead a small Engineering/PTA team. You will stay close to technical design while guiding people, improving processes and ensuring that engineering supports Sales, Production, Installation and customers.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will influence engineering quality, develop staff, and drive continuous improvement across the department.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in engineering or technical design within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD, product configuration, production engineering and Lean methodologies.
• Strong planning, communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily engineering operations and ensure alignment with production flow and customer commitments.
• Coach and develop the Engineering team; manage performance and onboarding.
• Plan resources and prioritise tasks across Sales, Production and Procurement to meet deadlines.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Sales, Production, Procurement, Installation and Service.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes; standardise drawings and reduce lead times.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, technical specs and product configurations.
• Support product introductions and ensure engineering readiness for production.

Head of Technical# Head of TechnicalThis is a hands-on leadership role for an engineering professional who enjoys combining technical design expertise with people leadership. As Engineering Manager, you will lead a small Engineering / PTA team, stay close to the technical details, and help improve the way engineering supports Sales, Production, Installation, and customers.You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Engineering department, ensuring that engineering activities run efficiently, support production flow, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
