Job summary

Qualifications

THE COMPANY

DALUM Beverage Equipment ApS (DALUM) is a fast-growing, young engineering company manufacturing unique CO2 Recovery Plants. Our proprietary technology recovers CO2 from diverse sources, from fermentation to carbon capture, enabling customers to become self-sufficient and significantly reduce their carbon emissions. In just six years, DALUM has achieved a massive global impact across four continents—from California to Europe and Oceania with 120 units sold to date.

We are headquartered in Søndersø (Funen) with a dedicated team of 20 employees across our sites in Denmark and Algoma, Wisconsin (USA). Our unique position in small-scale CO2 recovery has rapidly expanded from the craft beer sector into the vibrant market of established Carbon Capture startups and industrial companies.

THE ROLE

As our new Engineering Manager, you will lead our technical department and bridge the gap between initial product design and final production. Your primary focus will be to structure our technical operations, ensure flawless execution of production drawings, and deliver comprehensive, high-quality documentation packages to our global customers and industrial partners.

You will lead a small, skilled team of engineers and work closely with our founder, Kim Christian Dalum, to mature our product pipeline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production Basis (Produktionsgrundlag): Take ownership of creating, structuring, and verifying 3D models, manufacturing drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and assembly instructions to ensure a smooth transition from R&D to production.
• Customer Documentation: Author, update, and manage high-quality technical manuals, P&IDs, electrical/process diagrams, and compliance certificates delivered directly to our customers.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure machinery and systems comply with international standards, quality requirements, pressure equipment directives, and CE- UL-markings.
• Team Leadership & Project Management: Lead, mentor, and optimize the daily workflow of the engineering team, ensuring that project deadlines and documentation deliverables are met.
• Continuous Improvement: Standardize our documentation workflows and implement best practices within our CAD/PDM systems to support our rapid scaling.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a hands-on, structured, detail-oriented Engineering Manager who takes pride in technical accuracy and clear documentation, while thriving in an agile, entrepreneurial environment.

• Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• Experience: Proven track record in mechanical design, manufacturing preparation, and technical documentation management. Experience leading technical teams or complex projects is highly valued.
• Technical Know-how: Strong proficiency in modern 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and PDM data management systems. Knowledge of piping, flow, thermodynamics, or process equipment is a major advantage.
• Quality Mindset: Systematic approach to documentation, ensuring that no detail is overlooked before drawings hit the production floor or documentation reaches the client.
• Language: Fluency in written and spoken English is required, as you will communicate with global clients and our US division. Understanding Danish is a significant advantage for daily operations at the headquarters.
