Job summary

Robotto, a Denmark-based provider of autonomous and software solutions for drones, is seeking a Head of Finance to own finance operations, payroll across the group, and partner with leadership on planning and governance.

You will implement clear processes, controls and scalable systems, build a finance team as the company grows, and maintain close collaboration with auditors, banks, and tax advisers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience leading a finance function.
• Knowledge of Danish accounting, payroll, VAT and tax.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Understanding of group structures and intercompany transactions; international experience is an advantage.
• Experience with modern accounting and payroll systems such as e-conomic, Business Central, Danløn, Zenegy or similar.
• Strong Excel skills and a systems/automation mindset.
• Structured, precise and self-driven approach with ownership.
• Proficient English communication; Danish is a strong advantage.
• Ability to obtain the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliations and monthly close.
• Coordinate annual accounts under Danish GAAP and manage the audit process.
• Manage payroll, pensions, holiday pay, benefits and related reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning and variance analysis.
• Manage customer invoicing, receivables, supplier payments and approvals.
• Ensure VAT, tax and other financial compliance requirements are handled correctly.
• Intercompany finance between Danish parent and Ukrainian entity including invoicing and transfer-pricing matters.
• Prepare monthly management reporting, financial KPIs and reporting for leadership and the board.
• Provide financial input for grants, tenders, banking, investor and other due-diligence processes.
• Develop financial controls, documentation and scalable processes.
• Evaluate and improve finance and payroll systems, introducing automation where it adds value.
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, accountants, tax advisors and other external partners.

At Robotto, we build advanced autonomy and software solutions for drones and unmanned systems. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Head of Finance who can take ownership of our core finance operations and build the processes, systems and financial structure we need as the company scales.

This is a hands-on role for someone with solid finance experience who enjoys being close to the business. You will manage the day-to-day finance function while also building a structured and scalable setup for the future.

The role

As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of finance and payroll across the group and become an important financial partner to the business and leadership team.

You will report organizationally to the COO, with a functional reporting line to the CEO.

Our finance function is developing alongside the company. You will take what is in place today and strengthen it by establishing clear processes, reliable reporting, appropriate controls and the right systems.

As Robotto grows, the scope of the role can grow with it, including the opportunity to build and develop a finance team over time.

What You Will Do

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who combines strong financial fundamentals with a practical, hands-on mindset.

You will ideally bring:

• 5+ years of relevant experience within finance, accounting or a similar function, with significant hands‑on responsibility
• Experience owning or playing a key role in a finance function
• Strong knowledge of Danish accounting, payroll, VAT and tax requirements
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and management reporting
• Understanding of group structures and intercompany transactions; international experience is an advantage
• Experience with modern accounting and payroll systems such as e-conomic, Business Central, Danløn, Zenegy or similar
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in using systems and automation to make finance more efficient
• A structured, precise and self‑driven approach — you identify what is missing and take ownership of putting it in place
• Strong communication skills in English; Danish is a strong advantage
• A relevant degree or professional background in finance, accounting, economics or similar, such as cand.merc., HD(R) or equivalent
• The ability to obtain the required security clearance

Experience establishing, building or scaling a finance function within a startup or scale‑up environment would be a strong advantage.
