Job summary
Everllence in Frederikshavn seeks a highly skilled Head of Automation to lead our Propeller & Aft Ship Propulsion automation team. You will unite and develop more than 10 specialists across Research, Software, Electrical & Control, and Design engineering, driving technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration on world-class propulsion projects.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on tech direction, shaping future automation platforms, retrofit programs, and system
Qualifications
- Technical leadership of an Automation Department in maritime propulsion
- Strong knowledge of automation and control systems for marine applications
- Experience in developing people and teams across disciplines
- Proven ability to coordinate across projects and global teams
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Automation Department and its competencies
- Foster motivation, engagement and professional pride
- Recruit and develop the specialists of tomorrow
- Contribute to departmental strategy and growth
- Act as sparring partner for technical specialists
- Drive standardization and technological development
- Contribute to roadmap for future automation platforms
- Prioritize and coordinate resources across projects
- Ensure progress and quality in development activities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Service, Retrofit, Sales and PM
- Support complex customer projects globally
- Develop next generation automation solutions
- Strengthen integration between software, hardware and mechanical systems
- Drive innovation in digitalization and connectivity
