NACOS Marine in Denmark seeks a Project Engineer to customize and deliver cutting-edge automation systems for commercial vessels, with a retrofit focus. From presales through handover, you’ll collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure secure, high-quality solutions.

The role requires hands-on automation experience, strong communication, and a proactive mindset to drive projects to successful completion while maintaining quality and cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in marine engineering, automation, electronics, or related field.
• Experience in automation or control systems for vessels.
• Familiar with SCADA/SRO and IEC 61131-3 languages.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Eplan or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and program vessel automation systems using proprietary tools.
• Customize software and databases with vessel-specific values and parameters.
• Create and maintain project documentation and FAT/test protocols.
• Test, debug, and support integration during engineering and FAT.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Technical Support, Field Service and Sales.
• Advise on design changes and assist with quality and cost-control issues.
• Support planning to balance stakeholder expectations and security requirements.
• Ensure compliance with customer procedures and internal standards.
