Job summary

Lagkagehuset is seeking a Group Business Controller based in Copenhagen with primary focus on the UK. You will join Group Finance, own UK P&L, and drive reporting consistency across Denmark and the UK.

You will modernise reporting with automation and AI to deliver faster, reliable insights. Based at our group office in Copenhagen, you will coordinate with UK Operations and store teams, guide budgets, forecasts and monthly reviews, and contribute to scalable financial processes.

As Group Business Controller, with primary focus on the UK, you will help strengthen performance, sharpen decision‑making and build reporting that scales with the business.

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark, with limited travel to the UK as required.

The opportunity

Based at our Group office in Copenhagen and reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will combine Group-wide contribution with hands‑on ownership of the UK business. As the link between Group Finance, UK Operations and store teams, you will create consistency in reporting, strengthen performance management and translate data into actionable business insight. You will also help modernise how we work with data by advancing report automation, dashboards and the practical use of AI — delivering faster, more reliable insight.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Own UK performance: Act as Group Finance business partner for UK Operations and take primary ownership of the UK P&L
• Lead performance reviews: Drive UK monthly reporting and variance analysis in line with Group standards and timelines.
• Shape plans and decisions: Lead UK budgets and forecasts, contribute to Group planning processes and support commercial business cases.
• Keep performance on track: Support month‑end closing and identify risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
• Modernise reporting: Improve financial models, dashboards and reporting, with a clear focus on automation, scalable processes and the practical use of AI where relevant.

To succeed in this role, you bring

• Strong financial toolkit: Proven skills in budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis and management reporting.
• Commercial perspective: An analytical mindset and the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders.
• Data and systems expertise: Advanced Excel skills, strong experience with ERP systems and knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI. Curiosity and practical experience with report automation, data tools and AI‑supported ways of working are a strong advantage.
• Relevant background: A finance or business degree, combined with solid experience in business controlling, FP&A or finance business partnering.
• Fluency in English and Danish is a requirement for this role.
