Job summary

Nobia is seeking a Finance Business Partner / Business Controller in Aarhus to join our Finance function and help build the finance function of the future. You will combine financial controlling, analysis and business partnering to drive value across Nordic brands.

You will work with leaders to improve performance management, reporting and actionable insights using data-driven approaches. The role offers close collaboration with Finance leadership and a forward-looking, transformed finance

Qualifications

• Experience in business controlling, FP&A or similar partnering roles.
• Understanding of month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders and turning data into insights.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly closing, forecasts and performance management with accurate reporting.
• Act as Finance Business Partner, challenging assumptions and decisions from a financial perspective.
• Analyze revenue, margin, costs, customers and products to deliver actionable insights.
• Prepare management reporting and performance insights for leadership.

Job description

Nobia - a leading European kitchen specialist listed on Nasdaq Stockholm - is looking for a Finance Business Partner / Business Controller to join our Finance function in Aarhus. This is not a traditional controlling role. We are building the finance function of the future: one where data, AI and sharp business insight come together to drive real value across our Nordic brands.

This is a business finance role where you will combine financial controlling, analysis and business partnering. You will play an important role in understanding and challenging business performance, supporting leaders with financial insights and turning data into actions.

You will work closely with Finance leadership and stakeholders across the business, with plenty of opportunity to influence how we work with performance management, reporting and analysis.

What you’ll do

You will be a key finance partner to the business, connecting financial results with the commercial reality behind the numbers.

Concretely, you will:

• Drive and support the monthly closing, forecasts and performance management process, ensuring accurate reporting, explaining variances and identifying key drivers behind the results.
• Act as a Finance Business Partner, providing proactive sparring to managers and leaders and challenging assumptions and decisions from a financial perspective.
• Analyse business performance across revenue, margin, costs, customers and products, turning data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Prepare and communicate management reporting and performance insights, making complex financial information easy to understand and act upon.
• Taking ownership and challenging the status quo - continuously improving our processes and strengthening our data-driven decision-making.

• Contribute to building the analytical foundation and tooling that our finance function will rely on for years to come.
• Identify and optimize processes - think beyond today's way of working and explore how AI, SQL, BI, automation, and advanced analytics can help us work smarter, faster, and with greater insight.

Who you are

You are commercially minded and enjoy being close to the business. You are comfortable working with numbers, but even more interested in understanding what is behind the numbers and what they mean for the business.

You take a proactive approach and naturally ask why did this happen, what does it mean and what should we do about it in the future.

You enjoy being a sparring partner to the business and are confident challenging stakeholders in a constructive way. You can communicate financial topics clearly to people who are not finance specialists and turn analysis into action.

We expect that you bring

• Relevant experience within business controlling, FP&A or a similar partnering role.
• Understanding of month-end closing, financial reporting, budget, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience working closely with the business as a finance or business partner.
• Stay curious, challenge existing ways of working, and actively look for opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn financial and business data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with reporting/BI tools and hands-on experience with modern AI tools (Copilot, Claude or similar) - and an active interest in how AI changes the way finance works.
• A relevant academic background, e.g. cand.merc., cand.oecon., cand.polit. or similar.
