Job summary

AAK in Aarhus is seeking a Global ESG Engineer to drive the implementation of our ESG strategy across the manufacturing network. You will translate sustainability ambitions into engineering standards, KPIs and improvement programs, focusing on energy efficiency, carbon reduction, water and waste.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Process, Energy, Environmental, Carbon & Net Zero Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5–8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and energy systems.
• Experience delivering ESG or energy-reduction programmes in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (GHG Protocol, CSRD, ESRS, SBTi, CDP).
• Experience with KPI reporting systems and data dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Identify ESG improvement opportunities across the manufacturing network (energy, carbon, water, waste, resource efficiency).
• Co-develop and implement global engineering standards and methodologies for ESG performance.
• Assess technical solutions, build business cases, quantify environmental and financial benefits.
• Translate targets into site-level roadmaps, KPIs and project plans.
• Deploy energy monitoring, carbon tracking, and digital ESG data solutions.
• Collaborate with Global Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Digital & IT, EHS and Sustainability.
• Track progress, verify benefits and share best practices globally.
• Support ESG reporting and data management processes.
