Job summary

AAK is seeking a Global ESG Engineer to join the Global Operations team and drive the ESG strategy across a worldwide manufacturing network. You will translate sustainability ambitions into practical engineering standards, KPIs and improvement programmes, focusing on energy efficiency and resource optimisation.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience delivering ESG, sustainability, energy efficiency or carbon reduction programmes in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of energy monitoring techniques and related savings calculations.
• Knowledge of carbon accounting and ESG reporting frameworks (GHG Protocol, CSRD/ESRS, SBTi, CDP).
• Experience developing engineering standards, specifications and payback calculations.
• Strong data and digital capabilities, including KPI reporting and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise ESG improvement opportunities across the manufacturing network (energy, carbon, water, waste).
• Co-develop and implement global engineering standards and technical specifications.
• Assess technical solutions with sites; build business cases and quantify environmental/energy benefits.
• Translate global ESG targets into site roadmaps, KPIs, and implementation plans.
• Drive deployment of energy monitoring, carbon tracking and digital ESG data solutions.
