Job summary

Falck's Data, Insights & AI team in Copenhagen and Warsaw seeks a Data Engineer (Junior to mid-level) to design, build, and maintain core data pipelines using PySpark, Python and SQL on Databricks.

You will collaborate with Business Analysts across Europe and the US, integrating diverse data sources and contributing to AI projects that support ambulance operations and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering.
• Experience transforming business requirements into robust data solutions.
• Ability to take on complex tasks with guidance from seniors.
• A strong interest in business operations and how data can improve performance.
• Comfortable working with stakeholders and sources across countries/time zones.
• Familiarity with AI solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core data pipelines and reusable frameworks using PySpark, Python, and SQL on Databricks.
• Work with Business Analysts and stakeholders in Europe and the US to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Integrate diverse operational data sources across countries into a standardized platform.
• Build data models delivering insights into operational performance in ambulance businesses.
• Ensure code quality with unit tests, code reviews, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot bugs and performance issues with senior engineers as needed.
• Contribute to team standards for code, templates, and infrastructure for sensitive data handling.
