Job summary

Maersk is seeking a proactive Crew Operator to manage crew planning across our global fleet, ensuring vessels are manned per requirements and policies, with long-term relief rotations and effective changes coordination.

You will coordinate with Fleet Groups, ensure document compliance, and drive data quality in planning systems while promoting safety and seamless interaction between sea and shore teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in crewing or maritime operations.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Proven stakeholder management and results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vessels and ranks under your responsibility are adequately manned as per vessel flag requirements and company policies and guidelines.
• Provide long term relief rotation and advance planning of officers and ratings.
• Coordinate with Fleet Groups for Technical and Management requirements of the vessels.
• Coordinate and effectively handle crew changes.
• Evaluate crew performance and highlight promotable or training-needing individuals.
• Ensure compliance and validity of crew documents/certificates.
• Update records for crew change activities in the personnel/planning system.
• Conduct work activities with health and safety of seafarers in mind.
• Promote close interaction between sea and shore colleagues through dialogue and vessel visits.
• Participate in Crew Operations activities and company projects when requested.
• Ensure data quality in systems remains updated and valid.
