Job summary

Demant is seeking a Category Manager to lead global diagnostics procurement, focusing on electro-mechanical components and assemblies used across our medical devices. You will define category strategies, optimize supplier portfolios, and drive cost-effective initiatives while partnering with R&D, QA/RA, and operations to secure compliant, high-quality supplier relationships.

Reporting to the Strategic Procurement Manager, you will join a geographically distributed team in Denmark and Poland,

Qualifications

Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement and/or category management within manufacturing or regulated environments.
Experience building and executing category strategies.
International experience and ability to align across functions, cultures and locations.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements; ISO 13485, MDR, or MDSAP are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement category strategies with objectives for supplier development, quality, and cost.
Initiate and drive continuous cost effectiveness initiatives.
Negotiate agreements and build long-term supplier relationships.
Drive supplier segmentation, SRM, consolidation, and performance management.
Ensure contract management and compliance with QA/RA and other functions.
Contribute to process improvements, including master data harmonisation and lifecycle/EOL management.
Collaborate with R&D, Operations, QA/RA and Procurement project leads.
