Job summary

Gea Group is seeking an Automation Engineer in Denmark to lead automation projects from design to commissioning within a global team. You will review documentation, design control architectures, and develop PLC and HMI software for spray and dairy processing environments.

The role requires strong technical skills, clear communication, and the ability to travel up to 60 days a year. English fluency is essential for collaboration with international teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with industrial automation systems and electrical engineering principles.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.
• Wamiliarity with process automation standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute automation projects from design to commissioning.
• Review P&IDs, equipment lists, and process documentation.
• Develop network and control system architecture.
• Prepare functional design specifications and alarm/interlock lists.
• Develop and test automation software for Siemens PLC and HMI/SCADA.
• Support FATs, commissioning, start-up, and site acceptance activities.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation.
