Job summary

Gea Group in Denmark is seeking an Automation Engineer to drive automation projects from design to commissioning within the Automation Execution department. You will work with a global team to ensure seamless integration of automation packages.

The role requires hands-on development of automation software, review of P&IDs, and close collaboration with customers and stakeholders across regions. Travel is 30–60 days/year; English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Automation, Instrumentation & Control or Electrical Engineering.
Experience with industrial automation systems and electrical engineering principles.
Knowledge of ISA-88, ISA-101, IEC 62443, ATEX and safety standards.
Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

Define and review automation scopes during project execution.
Develop network and control system architecture and functional design specifications.
Develop and test automation software (Siemens PLC, InTouch, WinCC).
Review electrical designs and support panel FATs.
Execute software FAT, commissioning, start-up and site acceptance activities.
Prepare and maintain project documentation.
