Job summary

Lundbeck seeks an AI Engineer to own the commercial layer that translates predictive output into tools used by the commercial frontline. You will build agentic GenAI applications, design RAG pipelines and create scalable backend and frontend solutions across Python, FastAPI or Django and React/TypeScript.

You will work in Lundbeck's federated AI model, collaborating with Enterprise AI Solutions & Engineering, and ensure production readiness and enterprise security across tools and data.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, AI, machine learning or a related quantitative field.
• Several years of software development or ML engineering experience with strong Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI, LLM or AI-enabled applications, including RAG pipelines and LLM integration patterns using LangChain, LangGraph or similar frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building commercial GenAI applications on enterprise LLM platforms.
• Building commercial agentic AI workflows.
• Developing and optimizing RAG architectures for business and technical use cases.
• Integrating vector databases and semantic search to improve knowledge retrieval accuracy.
• Building AI copilots, assistants and workflow automation.
• Applying prompt engineering, evaluation and tuning to improve response quality, and optimizing model usage cost.
