Job summary

Amsterdam Data Collective is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deliver agentic AI systems for data-heavy, regulated environments. You’ll own architecture, backend services, and deployment from idea to production, collaborating with client engineering teams and business stakeholders.

You’ll leverage Python, cloud platforms, and advanced RAG/governance patterns to build scalable solutions, ensure safety, and contribute to ADC’s thought leadership in GenAI engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1 year building production LLM or agent-based systems.
• Strong Python proficiency, with experience building APIs and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks/patterns (LangGraph, tool calling, MCP, or custom orchestration).
• Building production RAG pipelines: embeddings, chunking, retrieval, and vector databases.
• AI safety and governance in production: guardrails, access control, audit logging.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows, including multi-step agents and tool use.
• Own solutions end to end: architecture, deployment, monitoring, and handover.
• Build the backend around the agents: APIs, data pipelines, integrations with client systems.
