Job summary

OMHU is seeking a structured and hands-on Product Developer to join our Copenhagen team. You will turn great design into manufacturable, scalable, high‑quality products and work closely with the Design team to interpret and challenge concepts.

You will travel frequently to suppliers and events across Europe, US and Asia, balancing quality, cost, and speed while pushing back on designs when needed. This is a key role in expanding OMHU beyond the TEDDY sofa.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of experience in furniture or relevant consumer goods (sofa or lounge seating is ideal).
• Strong network with manufacturers in Europe, Eastern Europe and/or Asia.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical development process from concept to prototype to final production.
• Collaborate with Design to interpret and challenge designs.
• Create product briefs, technical drawings, datasheets, QC manuals, tech packs, specs and BOMs.
• Act as main contact with suppliers.
• Scope and onboard manufacturing partners with Supply Chain & Procurement.
• Lead sampling and prototyping cycles, review development samples.
• Ensure product quality during development and mass production.
• Solve production issues like fit, materials, tolerances and defects.
• Support launch readiness including packaging, assembly and logistics.
• Build and manage a roster of suppliers.
