Job summary

Apylon is building an engineering team in Copenhagen to own end-to-end EHR integrations and design a canonical data model connecting diverse healthcare data sources. You’ll build robust, scalable integration platforms and collaborate directly with hospital IT teams and EHR vendors to ship reliable, model-informed workflows.

We value hands-on engineers who can bridge architecture and rapid scripting, with a focus on safety, observability, and production readiness in a regulated healthcare

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating production systems in complex, messy domains.
• Experience using LLMs as production components.
• Strong data-modelling instincts.
• Comfort working from incomplete information.
• Confidence in customer-facing technical work.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own EHR integrations end to end: APIs, schemas, undocumented behaviour, operational failure modes, and vendor changes.
• Build reusable integration-platform primitives for extraction, normalisation, versioning, replay, monitoring, and observability.
• Design the canonical data model that connects heterogeneous EHR data, reimbursement systems, national coding standards, and hospital-specific conventions.
• Build reliable inputs for our billing agents, including the constraints, validation, and evaluation systems that make model-assisted decisions safe to use in production.
• Work directly with hospital IT teams and EHR vendors: technical discovery, implementation, joint debugging, and onboarding.
• Take responsibility for the full lifecycle of your work: design, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and iteration from real-world data.
