Job summary

DFDS in Copenhagen seeks a Frontend Engineer student assistant to help build the Control Tower frontend tools used by our operations teams. You will work on a modern Next.js codebase, ship features to production, and collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers.

You’ll turn designs from Figma into accessible React components, contribute to the design system, write tests, and participate in code reviews. The team emphasizes ownership and real impact on DFDS freight operations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant education with at least a year left of studies.
• Have written frontend code in React and TypeScript, in study projects or jobs.
• Care about details: layout, accessibility, keyboard navigation.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve frontend features in Next.js/TypeScript monorepo.
• Turn designs from Figma into accessible React components using Navigator.
• Contribute to the design system with components and docs.
• Write tests and keep codebase clean and typed.
• Participate in code reviews, planning and refinement.
• Ship features to production and gather user feedback.
