Job summary

DFDS, Copenhagen-based, seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer - Tracking to join our Martech team and help shape scalable tracking and personalised customer journeys. You will work at the intersection of frontend engineering, analytics, and marketing technology.

You will contribute to a strong CDP foundation, collaborate with engineering, analytics and marketing, and ensure reliable tracking and data flows across channels while maintaining privacy-aware practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing modern web applications using TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and server-side GTM, including configuration, deployment, and ongoing management across different environments.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript-based tracking implementations and data layer architecture, with experience tracking user interactions and application events.
• Experience implementing and maintaining consent management and privacy compliance solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, leveraging tools such as Chrome DevTools, Tag Assistant, network analysis, and advertising platform debugging tools.
• Experience with or a strong interest in Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), with Twilio Segment experience considered a plus.
• Proven ability to perform tracking audits, quality assurance, and debugging, identifying and resolving challenges related to event tracking, attribution, CORS, CSP, and data collection.

About The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer - Tracking at DFDS, you will join a collaborative team working at the intersection of frontend engineering, customer data, analytics, and marketing technology. This is a role for someone who enjoys both hands-on implementation and seeing the bigger picture: how platforms, tracking, data flows, consent, and customer experiences connect to create better and more personalised journeys.

You will play an important part in strengthening our Martech foundation and helping us build more scalable and data-driven customer experiences across our digital platforms. The team is working on initiatives such as improving our customer data platform foundation, enabling more personalised experiences, and building reliable tracking and consent setups that allow us to work smarter across channels.

On a Day-to-day Basis, You Will
