Job summary

DTU Bioengineering invites applications for a Laboratory technician position in microbial cultivation, microbiology and processes related to microbial fermentation. You will join the Fermentation core team and support high-throughput screening, micro-fermentation and automation labs within the Synthetic Biology section.

We seek hands-on experience with cultivation and fermentation, strong microbiology basics, and interest in learning liquid handling robots and automation, including HPLC.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cultivation and fermentation is desired.
• Practical microbiology skills including handling of microbial strains.

Responsibilities

• Participate in research projects with independence in planning and performing experiments.
• Share responsibility for equipment and maintenance of laboratories; instruct students and junior researchers.
• Assist in teaching practical courses and prepare materials for fermentation-related labs.
• Develop and implement methods and high-throughput screening approaches for microbial strain improvements.
