Job summary

DTU Bioengineering in Denmark invites applications for a Laboratory Technician role in microbial fermentation and biotechnology. You will join the Yeast Biotechnology Group within the Synthetic Biology section, supporting projects, maintaining the platform, and contributing to high-throughput screening and automation labs.

The position requires independence in experimental planning, equipment upkeep, and training of project students, with opportunities to develop methods and accelerate design

Qualifications

• Practical microbiology experience and handling of microbial strains.
• Knowledge of microbial physiology and basic molecular biology.
• Hands-on cultivation and fermentation experience.
• Interest in learning liquid handling robots and automation.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in research projects with independence in planning experiments.
• Share responsibility for equipment and laboratory maintenance; mentor students.
