Job summary

DFDS A/S seeks a Superintendent in Copenhagen to lead energy efficiency initiatives across the fleet. You will drive shore power projects and coordinate with seafarers, Class, and Flag authorities for successful dockings and in-service work.

The role requires strong project management, technical marine expertise, and the ability to travel 60–90 days per year while working on-site at the Copenhagen office. Collaboration and proactive problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Marine Engineer, Dual Officer, or Naval Architect with relevant maritime qualifications.
• Experience or strong interest in energy efficiency, fuel-saving tech, decarbonisation, and ship performance monitoring.
• Ability to lead across cultures and work within a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise energy efficiency ideas.
• Perform project management from idea to installation, commissioning and handover to vessels.
• On-site technical supervision during installation, planning and execution during dockings or in service.
• Document and archive project data.
• Manage financial planning and execution with close follow-up on projects.
• Develop and implement more efficient operational and technical methods.
• Evaluate existing projects for fleet-wide feasibility.
• Analyse capital expenditures and project designs to implement efficiency.
