United Fintech is seeking a Financial Controller with an audit background to lead financial reporting, controls, and AI-enabled finance processes. You will own the audit, drive consolidation, and implement an AI-first framework across group reporting to support growth and acquisitions.

You will work closely with the Finance team in a collaborative, international environment, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and robust internal controls while enabling scalable, AI-powered finance operations.

What You Will Contribute

As Financial Controller at United Fintech, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's financial performance, governance, and scalability. Working closely with the Finance team and stakeholders across the business, you will contribute to the validation, consolidation, and reporting of group and subsidiary financials, ensuring timely and accurate interim and annual reporting. You will own the audit process and group accounting matters, while improving monthly financial processes, strengthening controls, and helping establish a globally consistent, AI-first financial reporting framework to support growth and future acquisitions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Own the audit process, the external group accounts, and group accounting matters — the main point of contact for our auditors
• Run an AI-first record-to-report process, using automation and AI tooling to keep the monthly close and annual reporting timely and accurate
• Validate and consolidate subsidiary results, applying consolidation and elimination principles with AI-assisted variance analysis
• Elevate monthly management reporting to management and the board using AI and automation — insight, not just numbers
• Prepare the local annual reports
• Monitor outsourcing partner deliverables and quality

Process Improvement, Automation & Systems

• Continuously challenge existing finance processes, reaching for AI and automation first to raise quality, efficiency, and scalability
• Support the roll-out of our new AI-driven ERP platform
• Build globally consistent processes and control frameworks across subsidiaries so we can scale and onboard acquisitions
• Monitor internal controls and ensure sufficient documentation — in-house and with our outsourcing partners
• Keep improving the audit process year on year, using AI and automation to cut manual work

What You Will Bring

We hire for attitude, not skills - curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn matter more than years on a CV. The two things we do look for are an audit background, ideally from a Big Four firm, and some consolidation experience, which we lean on as we integrate acquisitions and grow the group. What matters most is that you can think clearly about complex topics and communicate them simply.

In addition, you bring:

• Experience from audit, ideally with a Big Four firm
• Some consolidation experience, including elimination principles — we lean on it as we integrate acquisitions and scale the group
• Familiarity with annual, external, or group financial reporting
• A working understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Interest in process optimisation, system improvements, and bringing AI and automation tools into finance
• Comfort working with data — and curiosity about using AI tools to turn it into business insights
• A hands-on mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and apply best practices
• Experience implementing AI tools and new systems will be an advantage
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach
• Fluency in spoken and written English

Location & Working Arrangements

The job is a full-time position, and you will be reporting to the Head of Finance. The place of work is our office at Sankt Annæ Plads 28, Copenhagen.
