engira is searching for a Finance Director to lead and further develop Finance across Accounting, Controlling and Reporting. You will join the CFO leadership team and lead a Finance organisation, driving transformation and stronger collaboration across the business.

The role requires an energetic leader with deep Finance experience, experience in a complex, changing environment, and excellent English communication.

Job description

On behalf of engira, we are looking for a Finance Director to lead and further develop Finance across Accounting, Controlling and Reporting. You will play a central role in creating direction, structure and stronger collaboration while driving the continued transformation of Finance in an international renewable energy company with a significant portfolio across solar energy and battery storage.

As Finance Director, you will have overall responsibility for leading and developing the Finance organisation across Accounting, Controlling and Reporting. Your key objective will be to strengthen Finance as a scalable and proactive business partner that supports engira’s continued development.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• leading and developing the senior leaders across Accounting, Controlling and Reporting
• establishing clear priorities, responsibilities and ways of working across Finance
• driving the continued development of the Finance operating model
• leading process optimisation, standardisation and automation initiatives
• strengthening governance, controls and process ownership
• establishing relevant KPIs and performance frameworks
• strengthening collaboration across Finance and with the wider business
• acting as a trusted sparring partner to the CFO on operational and strategic matters
• taking ownership of key projects and complex Finance initiatives when required

You will report directly to CFO and join the CFO leadership team. You will lead a Finance organisation of approximately 20 employees and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Sharp finance profile with an interest in the energy sector

We imagine that you have an educational background within Finance or Accounting, although relevant experience can equally well form the foundation for the role. You bring solid experience within Finance and several years of leadership responsibility, ideally from an organisation characterised by complexity, change or transformation. Most importantly, you know how to lead experienced Finance profiles, create clarity and bring different disciplines together around a common direction. You communicate confidently in English and have a strong understanding of Finance systems and data. You are comfortable working in Excel, while experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Bright Analytics is considered an advantage, but not a prerequisite.

engira is an integrated renewable energy company that develops, owns and operates renewable energy assets across international markets. The company has more than 170 employees and manages approximately 1.2 GWp of installed solar capacity across 11 countries, with a development pipeline of approximately 4.1 GWp within solar PV and battery storage.

Established through the merger of three investment funds and selected activities from Obton, engira is currently building a more scalable and high-performing renewable energy platform.
