Job description

Creating the Next Generation of Wireless Hearing Solution

Do you want to solve antenna challenges that most engineers never encounter? At GN Hearing, we develop advanced hearing solutions that help millions of people connect to the world around them. Behind every seamless wireless experience lies high-quality radio technology and antenna design. We are looking for an Antenna Engineer to join our Radio Systems team in Ballerup, Denmark, where you will work on some of the most demanding RF and antenna challenges in consumer electronics. This is not a role where you simply optimize existing designs. You will help define the wireless solutions of future hearing products by combining advanced antenna skills with innovation, experimentation and system thinking. Designing antennas for hearing aids is fundamentally different from designing antennas for phones, routers or other consumer devices. You will work in an environment where:

  • Every cubic millimeter matters
  • Antenna performance must coexist with acoustics, mechanics, electronics and industrial design
  • Wireless reliability has a direct impact on the user experience
  • Small improvements can make a significant difference to millions of end users worldwide
The team

You will become part of Radio Systems team, a highly specialized engineering team responsible for wireless connectivity, radio performance and antenna technology across GN Hearing products. The team works closely with software, electronics, mechanics and acoustics to ensure robust and advanced wireless performance. We value technical excellence, collaboration and knowledge sharing, and we genuinely enjoy solving difficult engineering challenges together.

What you'll do
  • Design antennas and RF solutions for next-generation hearing products
  • Drive antenna development from concept exploration to product release
  • Perform simulation, modelling, prototyping and optimization of antenna solutions
  • Analyze antenna and radio performance through measurements and systematic investigations
  • Establish design guidelines and best practices for future products
  • Explore new antenna concepts, technologies and methods
  • Support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of wireless performance challenges
  • Contribute to GN's long-term wireless technology roadmap
What we bring
  • Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Are deeply interested in antenna and RF engineering and like examining complex systems
  • Have solid experience designing and evaluating antennas and RF systems
  • Understand electromagnetics, antenna theory and radio propagation
  • Are experienced with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, CST or similar
  • Have practical experience with antenna and RF measurements and laboratory equipment, including network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
  • Enjoy turning complex technical challenges into practical solutions
  • Are curious, methodical and motivated by innovation
  • Have effective communication skills
  • Are proficient in English, both spoken and written
What we offer
  • Technology that improves quality of life for millions of people
  • Challenging wireless engineering problems
  • Significant technical ownership and influence
  • Collaboration with leading specialists
  • Opportunities to grow as a technical expert or technical lead
  • Flexible and collaborative working environment

All applicants will receive equal consideration for employment.

We encourage you to submit your CV without a photo to support an equal application process.

We are focused on an inclusive recruitment process.

If you have any special requirements for the interview, please let the Hiring Manager know when accepting the invitation.

We will close and unpublish the position once we have identified the candidate to hire. This might be before the above-mentioned date.
