Job summary

Arla Foods A.m.b.a, based at the Innovation Centre in Aarhus, seeks a scientist to lead end-to-end product and process development for Fermented High Protein products. The role combines hands-on development with capability building to accelerate innovation and scale across Europe.

You will collaborate with Innovation, Science, Operations, Quality, Packaging, Marketing and Supply Chain to advance Skyr, Quark and yoghurt platforms, shaping future capabilities and knowledge foundations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Food Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience in product & process development within dairy or food manufacturing.
• Experience with fermented dairy products, high-protein products, fermentation, and large-scale manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead product and process development projects from concept to launch.
• Act as product and process expert across Skyr, Quark, yoghurt platforms.
• Drive lab, pilot and industrial trials; translate findings into business recommendations.
• Identify and solve complex product quality, stability and process challenges.
• Lead knowledge sharing and development of technical playbooks and guidelines.
• Establish structured approaches for experimentation, data interpretation and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to future product and technology roadmaps within Fermented High Protein.
• Support external manufacturing and supplier collaborations when specialist expertise is required.
