Job summary

Maersk Container Industry seeks a hands-on Facility Technician to support daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of facilities at the MCI HQ. You will ensure a safe, functional, and efficient environment for employees and visitors, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

The role involves supervising buildings and outdoor areas, supporting water, electrical, heating, and waste systems, and participating in improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Facility Technician to join our Facility Management team at MCI HQ. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of our facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and efficient working environment for employees and visitors.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers while contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of our facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and supervision of buildings and outdoor areas.
• Support the operation and maintenance of water, electrical, heating, and waste management systems.
• Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of office.
• Monitor and support utility and technical installations, including:
  • Electrical installations
  • Gas systems
  • Building Management Systems (CTS)
  • Water treatment systems
  • Fleet management
• Coordinate and collaborate with external contractors and service providers.
• Support the utilisation and coordination of flexible workforce resources.
• Participate in smaller facility-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure facility operations are carried out in accordance with safety and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for a candidate who brings a relevant technical background combined with practical facility maintenance experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Technical education such as Automation Technician, Mechanic, Electrician, or a similar qualification.
• Proven experience within facility maintenance, building operations, or technical service functions.
• Solid understanding of technical installations and facility systems.
• Experience applying technical knowledge, methods, and procedures to solve operational challenges.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to elevate non-routine issues.
• Understanding of how facility operations support the wider business and organisation.
