Job description

At Maersk Container Industry (MCI), we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Control System Engineer to join our Application Software Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and specifying control strategies and software functionality for our advanced refrigeration systems, collaborating closely with embedded software engineers and ensuring solutions meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Translate system behaviour and performance requirements into clear specifications for the embedded software development team.
• Define and specify new system features and control strategies for our refrigeration controller.
• Collaborate closely with embedded software engineers, hardware engineers, and external partners.
• Support troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving.
• Provide technical input to service and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
• Experience with control systems engineering.
• Experience with modelling and simulation tools (e.g., Simulink).
• Knowledge of control design, estimation, and system‑level thinking.
• Experience with thermodynamic systems is an advantage but not required.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken (Danish is a plus).
