The successful candidate will provide bioinformatic support for processing and interpretation of genomic data, develop pipelines, assist with genome assembly/annotation, and collaborate with researchers in the Centre for

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field; PhD is an advantage.
  • Strong background in evolutionary genetics, genomics, population genetics and bioinformatics.
  • Extensive experience with bioinformatic analyses and pipeline development.
  • Ability to support researchers and supervise students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide bioinformatic and computational support for processing, analyzing, managing and interpreting genomic data.
  • Support QC of whole-genome sequencing and resequencing datasets.
  • Develop and maintain bioinformatic pipelines and workflows.
  • Assist with integration of genomic data with ecological/environmental datasets.
  • Maintain scripts, workflows and analysis records.
  • Support students, PhD students, postdocs and faculty in analyses and publications.
